Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2, 2026
By using Recall you agree to these terms.
The service
Recall generates flashcards from photos and topics you provide and schedules them for review. Card generation is powered by AI: cards, titles, and explanations are drafted automatically and may contain errors or omissions. Review what Recall produces, especially before relying on it for an exam or anything high-stakes.
Your account
You can use Recall without an account. If you create one, you are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information when signing up. You must be at least 13 (or the minimum age in your region) to use Recall.
Your content
The notes you photograph and the decks you build remain yours. You grant us only the limited rights needed to operate the service: processing your photos and topics to generate cards, and storing your decks so you can study them. Only upload material you have the right to use.
Acceptable use
- Use Recall for personal study and learning.
- Do not upload unlawful content or material that infringes someone else's rights.
- Do not attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or abuse the service, its rate limits, or its providers.
- Do not use the service to generate content unrelated to studying at volume, or to resell access to it.
Fair use limits
Recall is free, with hourly limits on AI card generation and explanations to keep the service healthy for everyone. We may adjust these limits over time.
Content and accuracy
AI-generated cards and explanations are provided “as is.” They can be wrong, incomplete, or outdated. Recall is provided without warranties, and to the extent permitted by law we are not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the app, including exam outcomes.
Changes
We may update the app and these terms over time. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
